Rise & Shine Kids Coaching

Who am I?

 

Hi, I’m Amy – Counsellor, Kids Yoga Teacher, and Founder of 

Rise & Shine Kids Coaching in Hervey Bay, QLD.


After losing a young family member to suicide in 2020 due to bullying, I felt a deep drive to create change. I left my old career and began studying in my spare time, eventually becoming a qualified counsellor with training in youth mental health, suicide intervention, and domestic and family violence.


Today, I run small, age-appropriate programs that blend yoga, mindfulness, and self-development to help kids build confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience. I also offer one-on-one sessions for more personalised support. Everything I do is about helping kids navigate bullying, anxiety, and life’s big emotions.

How Can I Help?

8-Week Yoga Therapy Programs

An 8 week program combining yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, personal development activities and engaging discussions. The aim of this program is to empower children to build their own resilience and strength, increase self-esteem, set goals and develop confidence. Programs are held in small, age-appropriate groups.

School & Kindy-Based Yoga Therapy Classes

 Introduce Yoga Therapy to your School or Kindergarten! These fun and engaging sessions help students improve focus, reduce stress, build resilience and have an ultimate goal of reducing the effects of bullying and other behavioural issues. Through a mix of movement, breathing exercises, and mindfulness activities, students will learn how to manage their emotions and stay calm during challenging situations.  

1:1 Counselling

 Similar to the 8-week group programs, I also offer one-on-one sessions, providing personalised support. Whether your child is experiencing bullying, anxiety, low self-esteem, or struggling with big emotions, these sessions create a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered. We still use practical tools like yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises, but these sessions also incorporate counselling techniques to explore deeper challenges and provide more targeted therapeutic support. Each session is guided by your child’s pace and preferences, allowing us to gently uncover what’s going on beneath the surface and work through it in a way that feels right for them.
